Material expression

The terrace is defined by 440mm square paving slabs in a warm desert sand tone, establishing a calm and generous surface suited to outdoor living. The natural colour palette complements the surrounding architecture while allowing the terrace to sit comfortably within the garden setting.

A double cobble border frames the paved surface with subtle texture and definition, reinforcing the edges of the terrace and introducing a refined visual rhythm to the composition. The terrace itself is supported by a low retaining wall constructed from Terraforce blocks, allowing the outdoor living area to step gently above the surrounding garden.

Above the paved surface, a bespoke timber pergola introduces a contemporary architectural element while providing shade and enclosure to the seating and dining area. Together, these elements form a cohesive outdoor room that extends the living space of the home into the landscape.

The result is a composed garden terrace that balances structure and warmth, creating an inviting setting for outdoor dining and relaxed everyday living.
